Desert Collage

This is a collage I did with pieces of paper and fluid acrylics. The cactus on the left is done with corrugated cardboard painted green, other papers are tissue paper, torn up egg cartons. The gessoed board was covered with moulding paste for texture before painting. The scene is the same one I did an oil painting of in a previous post.

Sabino Canyon, Tucson, AZ

This is a painting I did from a photograph of Sabino Canyon, Tucson, AZ vacation. Birding and hiking. Did you know a Saguaro cactus grows one inch in 10 years, three feet in 50 years, and its first arm in 85-100 years. So, the cactus in this painting is very old. Oil on canvas, 8X10.
